Visit Wrexham
Wrexham is a beautiful town with a lot of history, beautiful sights and amazing food. When you first get there, you will be taken back by how welcoming and friendly everyone is, the people there are so amazing that I believe they set the standard on how a community should welcome guests. While you are there, we strongly suggest setting aside time to see the other marvels that North Wales has to offer. Before you leave, make sure to download and take with you our Visit Wrexham Checklist of places to see and things to do!
Check out our list of all the greatest Wrexham shops with all the greatest swag! Everything you could ever want to show your support for the club and support the local businesses as well. The list of local businesses keeps growing, so keep coming back to see more!
Right now, 1 in 5 of the UK population live below the poverty line. Over the past few months Wrexham has seen a record number of food parcels given out to people in need. The number of parcels given out in 2019 was 2,765 and has increased to 5,152 in 2023. Click here if you would like to learn more, you may also use the links below if you would like to donate. Source
Loosen your belt because you may put on a few pounds, some of the food there is so delicious that it will keep you coming back for more! Everyone knows that if you want good food, you ask the locals. Well that is exactly what we did!
I have always felt that it was important to support local businesses, but it is even more so in Wrexham. In small towns, local businesses are the heart of the community. Big companies won't notice your purchases over the next couple months, but small businesses will and it might even change their lives.
Lets be honest, the best places to drink are where the locals go to drink. Obviously everyone is going to want to have a few pints at the Turf but I also highly suggest leaving the Turf and having a few pints at some of these other great pubs!
Wrexham has a lot of hotels that are less than a mile from town, making it so you don't need to rent a car. There is a nice mix of modern and historic hotels to choose from. We tried to stay at The Lemon Tree but it was booked and ended up at the Ramada which was still very nice.
Wrexham AFC striker Paul Mullin (SPM) has partnered with British Boxers to help raise money for local North Wales Charity, Your Space. Your Space is a small charity that helps support young people with Autism and their families. British Boxers has committed to donating £150 to Your Space for every goal scored this 23/24 season by the man himself, Paul Mullin.
As big supporters of the community, our Fan Clubs page is a great way to find local fans and fan clubs that share in our love of Wrexham. You may also want to add yourself to the Worldwide Reds map and share your location with other fans around the world!
